We already lost FISH?

Philippines
December 29, 2018 1:07am CST
I don't know what happened but this morning I saw a fish in a plastic. Mom saw it floating. Not sure why it died like that, I hope it's not over feeding. Then we began discussing terms of feeding and turns out she feeds them with out telling me. Maybe this time I'd tell her if I have fed the fish. But this morning we sort of over fed it. It's supposed to be just twice a day.

water cycle. you have to let the fish acclimate. make sure to add your tanks water in their plastic bag before adding them into aquarium. that process takes a day.

@hereandthere yes the thing is when fish are in specific water, they acclimate to that condition. before adding them to new water. we have to first mix water from that new tannk into their existing water . and after doing this for 1 day and getting them warm enough we can then add them.

maybe go to a pet store and ask what about other possible causes so it can be prevented?

@responsiveme same with getting a puppy or kitten - have it checked by a vet first.

@Letranknight2015 There are a few rules you need to follow and that you will get by experience Did you for example lower the fish only after placing that plastic bag with the fish without opening it so that it gets the same temperatures as the aquarium water. ?

@allknowing I think my brother did that on the first fish tank. But not when we transferred them to a new tank.

Aside from waters filters. Aquariums must have heaters to keep the water warm for the fishes.

I don't think that would kill them but it could make their water dirty which isn't good for them if the food sits around and gets uneaten.

I guess fish also have a natural life-span and have to die sometime.
