I bought these Bob's soft wintergreen mints over the holidays at WalMart. They have them out only for the holidays it seems. Now I cannot find any more anywhere. I prefer wintergreen to peppermint. It seems I am in the minority. But I will not give up, I will continue searching. I love these soft mints and will find more. Have you tried these mints before? Do you prefer peppermint or wintergreen?

I have never seen the wintergreen mints like that before. My friend prefers wintergreen as well. At Christmas I make peppermint and cinnamon hard candy, she wanted wintergreen so I found some flavoring for that and made her some wintergreen hard candy. She loves it so now I need to make her more. Have to admit, it tasted pretty good.

@CarolDM Its not hard at all, all you need is sugar, karo syrup, water, flavoring oil and a candy thermometer.

I havent tried them but like both flavors. You could always make your own as you wanted them.

@CarolDM I havent tried the soft version, but they look like regular hard candy to me. So it would be shortening the cook time some mostly to keep them from setting as hard.
