Isn't this a beautiful garden? To me it is so serene that you can't help but relax. I can just imagine sitting there at a little decorative metal table to the left of the beautiful bridge near the small stream. I would take down the chains on either side of the walkways and replace the post with lights. That way you could take a walk at night without fall over something and hurt yourself. Then I would add a bit of color by way of flowers. I would discretely plant a few brightly colored flowers among the greenery. Then I would add a bench or two and maybe another little tab le and chairs to encourage relaxing and enjoying the scenery. What about you? Are there any changes you would like to make to a garden like this?

I would remove the bridge, sidewalk and posts with chains, I like the totally natural scene unmarred by human designs.

Mom would have agreed with you @HazySue she would have loved to fish from the bridge but my dad and I would rather just have it all natural.

The bridge is one of my favorite things about it. I also like the walkways but can certainly do away with the posts with chains.

It is a lovely little nook. I agree with you, it lacks colour and light. My husband and our son built a foot bridge almost identical to that one for our pond years ago. We didn't have wooden handrails on the bridge, we extended the rope, which in this photo ends just at the bridge, ours went over the bridge. We had a nautical theme.

I would love to walk the pathways at night but I would have to be able to see. Besides it would add a sense of romance to the garden.

It is beautiful. I would love to visit this garden the way it is but if I had a very large yard I would like this garden with a few tweaks.

I could stare at this photo for hours and feel relaxed. I don't know if I would change anything about it! Except for making a black bridge, haha! For me, black is always the answer. This is a dreamland though.
