Today, A trip to laboratory and The Doctor’s Clinic Tomorrow / myLot

I have noticed multiple symptoms now in my body not because I’m less careful but perhaps we are just susceptible to any diseases at any given time. The holiday feasts were over and it’s time to look forward for what’s in life ahead of us. Today is the first official working day of government offices as well as with clinics and other commercial establishments. It is expected that clinical laboratories have many customers too. I fasted last night and I went there early for my lab tests. They have packaged testing or a patient can select any depending on the doctor’s order. I’d chosen the package with most number of tests. Most of the results will be available today but there’s one that would be gotten only tomorrow’s afternoon so I will be there to get the results and head directly to the doctor’s clinic that is handling most of my medical cases. I get used to it and not afraid after all. What I do not like is the long time of waiting before your turn.

@ZedSmart yes, that’s why we need ourselves checked as soon as possible to see what’s wrong and have it cured.

Did the doctor prescribe which tests to take? Here the doctor makes the list of the tests you need, we have no packages.

@LadyDuck You know, I like your insurance system because you do not pay even if you are outpatient. Here, our medical bill will be shouldered only by the insurance if you're admitted to the hospital and even for that, often or not there is an excess amount which we're going to pay during our discharged. If we're visiting private doctors and specialists, we need to pay out-of-pocket. There are doctors in public hospitals and health centers but I prefer to be treated with private doctors. I have another health insurance from COOP providing free consultation from private doctors who are family medicine but I'm not impressed with these doctors so I stick to my internist.

The doctor requested 3 lab tests before so I just incorporate it to other tests that I want also to see. Yes, if we follow the procedure a consultation first and then the doctor will make a request based on your complain. However, I have been checked several times for this kind of tests so I underwent first the lab test and then the doctor because If I'm going to see him first, it's all the same request based on my medical record.
