I saw a news today. It is about a thief being knocked down and killed from the incident by the property owner. The owner now is facing road safety charges for driving dangerously. The case is still held in court and the possible penalty is a jail term of up to 10 years and a fine not exceeding RM20,000, if the final court decision declare the driver is guilty. Do you think it is fair?

I do not believe the law is always followed or just.

Erm, probably the judge is getting benefit from one side so they have to use excuses to give unfair judgment. It is hard to say and just wait for the next hearing.

So he ran over a man that stole his bag? It is the law that will decide but I think that is pretty extreme. I would not havr run over someone that stole something from me. I would call the police.

Yes, he just knock the motorcycle of the thief. Our police is not that efficient so he may not get back his bag. Yes, the law will say about it. It is just something that I find out that is contradict on both side.

I think if he was killed because of self defense that the was not the fault of whoever killed him.

The court is a balance to help murderers know that human life is bigger than all. I am not saying that the thief is a good person but it is a human.

The killing would be justified if it was in self defense. But if the thief was running away and not posing a threat when you killed him, it would be the opposite.

@myklj999 This is generally speaking for the majority of laws. Of course, to be accurate, you have to check your local regulations.
