Renewed my Internet Security protection for almost $100 but could've had it for free...

It's time for me to renew my Kaspersky Internet Security subscription. For a one year renewal the discounted price is $69.99 and for two years it's $99.99.
I didn't want to spend $99.99 in one shot or commit to a two-year renewal but I also didn't want to spend $69.99 for one year of protection. I wasn't sure how to proceed or which software to potentially switch to.
Today, I decided to just go ahead and renew for two years at the $99.99 price. They ended up giving me a $10 discount. But in the end I only saved $2 because they charged me tax. Still, it's like I am paying about $49 per year, which is definitely better than had I paid $69.99 for one year only. And I don't have to worry about renewing for the next two years, which is great.
I talked to my friend today and told him that I renewed and if what I paid is a goood price. He told me he doesn't know if the price is good or not but that I should have checked with my Internet provider first to see if they have software they provide. And he said he told me to do this the last time I talked to him as well. I checked and it turns out my Internet provider does provide the software and it's free. I can't believe I forgot about this and didn't check this before renewing my current subscription. What an idiot I am! I could've had protection for free.
Good thing is that Kasperky participates in Swagbucks Shop & Earn, which means I will be getting 10 SB per $1 for this purchase, which will come out to 980 SB. The bad thing is that I will most likely be having the same issue as I've been having lately with purchases through Swagbucks and the SB will not be credited to me automatically. I will have to contact support yet again. But I have three different trip IDs and not sure which one applies to my order.
UPDATE: Apparently, the Swagbucks Shop & Earn worked this time. I got an email from Swagbucks about my purchase and the SB are showing up as pending in my account. And I will be getting 1000 SB instead of 980 SB. That's equivalent to $10.

Nice discount, but since they are a Russian corporation, I was not sure how secure my info was.

I honestly did not know they are a Russian corporation... But I guess the name should give that away.

@lovebuglena It may be fine, but the US government no longer uses their service.
