It's no secret that I love hockey. Back in the 90's, Nike made a hilarious series of commercials revolving around "former NHL goalies" who were forced to work regular jobs after their weaknesses were exposed by NHL superstars wearing Nike equipment. I am counting down my favorite my favorites. We are at #4: The Bank Robber. In this one, a Florida Panthers goalie has been drummed out of the NHL because he was unable to stop Philadelphia Flyers superstar Rod Brind'Amour. However, instead of finding regular 9-5 work, this goaltender said "screw it" and turned to a life of crime. And it's hilarious! But he did have a nice mask!
90 second version of "Bank Robbery" Nike Goalie Commercial with Rod Brind'Amour and Gump Worsley.

You're right. It is hilarious. But did these guys really get kicked out because they couldn't stop a particular guy or were they just not up to scratch? I know nothing about ice-hockey.

They all seem to be bitter about one certain guy, so I'd say that was the case. Keeping in mind that those guys could score on anyone, even the greats!

He had it coming. It's not like Brind'Amour could just score on just anybody!
