Frayed pant bottoms

Frayed pant bottom

Some of my older but still very good pants are slightly frayed at the bottom like in the picture. I can still wear them to work and use them. Is there any way of repairing them without shortening the pants? While frayed bottom pants can be worn as casuals , I still wear them to work like I've mentioned. Do you continue to wear pants and trousers that are frayed?

I think it is difficult to repair them without shortening it.

I've done that with some trousers.

@Mavic123456 I need to wear a belt on some of these trousers, so find that making them shorts makes it difficult to wear. But I should try.

@pitstop my mistake, if it's a mistake... i threw away my trousers because i have to live minimally instead of making it as shorts they could be more comfortable that the ones I am using now.

I would continue to wear them although you could perhaps just trim off the frayed bits without actually shortening them. And maybe putting a contrast bias binding round the bottom would be one option.

There was a time when frayed pants became a passion.

It still is ok when hanging out with friends or just casual wear.
