the unexpected DEFROSTING

My sister defrosts our refrigerator every week. She defrosted it last Thursday, but today, automatically, our refrigerator was defrosted due to the power interruption.
This afternoon at 5PM, she started cleaning the fridge. Well, at least, she will do the cleaning next week.
(She does the defrosting and cleaning of the fridge because she arranges everything inside according to her own ideas, and I stay away near her if she does so.)

our refrigerator is not the new technology now; it is not a 'no-frose ref'. actually our fridge is already old. it was bought from my late father's retirement pay.

our fridge is an old model now. it needs weekly defrosting. we would not want to dispose it because it has a sentimental value to us.

It's strange that the fridge defrosted itself. I don't think I have ever defrost my fridge before, I don't know if I need to do that or different fridge requires differently. Since your sister prefers to do that job, you can just leave it to her.

My mother used to clean out my refrigerator, but she hasn't in a long time. I think mine defrosts automatically.

good for your fridge to do its defrosting by itself. our fridge is an old model, as in OLD. hahaha
