Murderous Tuesday: Severed Head

Imagine being a young child, having just got off the school bus only to discover a severed head. That's what happened in Pennsylvania several years ago. The head belonged to a middle aged woman. Forensics were able to tell that she was from around that area, and that she had been taking medication for heart failure. The head had been embalmed, rubber balls such as those found in gumball machines were used as eyes. This embalming was not professionally done. Her body has not been found. As far as I am aware, nobody has come forward to identify her, and no funereal can identify her either. Police think her organs were likely used in some sort of black market scheme. There was evidence that she had moved around in the past several months. It was assumed that perhaps she had been in the care of several family members.
