Phil Zurbrugg was awarded by the Tennessee State Police for his act of assisting a state trooper who fell down a hill on Interstate 75 when he was hit by a criminal who was being arrested for a rape. Phil was driving from Columbus Ohio to Atlanta Georgia with his son on November 25, 2018 when he stopped to assist Officer Reagan who needed help after the suspect punched the trooper in an attempt to escape. Phil was able to assist Officer Reagan to arrest the rapist since they were close to each other during the struggle which caused Officer Reagan to get three staples on his head to close the wound. The commissioner office in Tennessee awarded Zurbrugg with a commendation for assisting a law enforcement officer in trouble recently.

It is nice to see that the average person assists a police officer in the line of duty.

Phillip mentioned that most persons would have driven on the roadway not caring what happens to a law enforcement officer these days.

@Courage7 Officer Reagan said that very few people care what happens to law enforcement officers these days due to the negative media coverage.

That's really cool. That's so brave to put yourself in danger for the good of the officer.
