Made My Own Mint Tea

Are you familiar with Mentha arvensis , or mint plant? Good thing they are selling leaves in our favorite grocery, and I remembered I need to drink mint tea which is said to be good for acid reflux. I did not know what caused my stomach becoming acidic when I have eaten some bread or some confectioneries with sugar or milk in it. Then I read a post from a friend who recommended drinking mint tea to alleviate stomach acidity. I found it good for me, and it seems to be a good diuretic too. A nice way to get rid of uric acid which causes rheumatism. Do you also concoct your own tea from herbs?

No, but I do know a lot of people in the area that grow their own mint. It seems to be a hardy plant and may grow from year to year untended and smells good outside too. Does it really help with the rheumatoid arthritis? A friend from work just found out she has that along with regular arthritis in her hands. Maybe I'll recommend she try some mint tea. How much do you put in, the recommended amount or extra? I know that peppermint also helps with post eating issues, so regular mint makes sense. You can also buy peppermint essential oils to put into your water to help your stomach too. Just don't have it too close to bedtime or it will keep you awake, much like coffee can.

@acelawrites I won't be making it, but i'll keep that in mind. Just so you know a more common abbreviation for refrigerator is fridge which more people would be more familiar with I'd think.

Maybe it works like a diuretic so it makes one urinate so often and in the process eliminate uric acid that causes rheumatism. I boil a handful in a pot of water then store the concoction in the ref and drink it anytime of the day.

Tea has some great healing ingredients. I drink it frequently. Thank you for that information. I have had some reflux issues myself. Will look to get some mint tea in the future.

I just read it from the net; I also found that you can also use boiled ginger and garlic for acid reflux.

I do love the occasional cup of mint tea, but don’t make it from my own herbs anymore.
