So most days i like make sure my hair, makeup and nails are done even if im just sitting at home but my boyfriend tells me i dont have to do that everyday. Its sweet that he thinks i dont need that stuff but i want to look good for him and plus im a real girlie girl and love doing that everyday lol So heres my question for all the women on here, do yall keep up with your hair, makeup and nails everyday while in a long term relationship?

That's good that you like to do your makeup and hair and stuff every day. I don't every day. If we have a special date or occasion, then I will.

I never do. I am always in sweats or jeans. With having livestock my nails are usually chipped, and my hair at the most gets pulled back out of my eyes.

I do not do my hair and my makeup every day, I really only do it when there is a special occasion. When we were first together years ago, I would do my makeup most of the time, but now that we have our daughter, there's no way I could ever have the time or energy to do it

I only wear mascara and a bit of powder to cover some scars and redness but if I am staying home, I don't put any on. We don't get much company. I also don't live with a man so there's that. My daughters don't wear makeup and are natural. Their husbands think it's odd if they do decide to try some. They prefer them without and be themselves.

@PrincessREL It's OK to fix oneself up if it's something they want to do. I have a friend that will even if she is home alone and my mom was the same way. A good man will think his girlfriend and wife is beautiful no matter how she looks long as she isn't sloppy and is clean.

Thats cool of their husbands. That should make them always feel comfortable which is the way it should be!

@noni1959 exactly. My man tells me all the time i dont need that stuff but its my insecurities that are the problem.

No. I'm not a girlie girl and never did that even when I was married, which I haven't been in over 20 years. I know lots of women do. I can't tell you the last time I put makeup on or did my nails. My hair is wash and go and gets done once a month at the salon. It's my one luxury.

@PrincessREL I know that for some people it's a luxury. It's not for me. I have no talent for taking care of hair, so I need to go to the salon to get it taken care of once a month. I get it cut every month, and every two months I also have it colored. Nobody in my family will allow me around scissors when it comes to hair.

@just4him i feel like i have no talent when it comes to my hair either. All ive ever done is straighten it and have had the same style my whole life. Im afraid if i change it i might look weird or wont be able to keep it up

I am in a long term / 8.5 year relationship, and no, I do not. I hardly do my hair, because its a hassle. So its always in a ponytail or bun. And the only make up I wear is eyeliner, which is only a few times a month. I've never had my nails done, besides painting them myself and that's only when my little cousins and nieces are around and I do theres, so maybe 3 times a year. women should only do things about their appearance for themselves, not a partner.

@LestatPen i ask my man to grow his beard and he does. I have an obsession with beards lol but he doesnt want me to wear makeup and i do it anyway lol
19 Jan 19
I agree. Its for him and for me also. I dont feel as good about myself if i dont

OK - here's the opinion of a man. I would wish my girlfriend/wife to look her best at all times but if occasionally she wants to have a day off from all that girlie stuff I'd still love her all the same!
