Telemarketing Phone Calls: How do you handle with them?

I think this kind of situation bothers everyone... 
Sooner or later, we all end up getting telemarketing phone calls trying to sell us something / some plan (usually from phone companies, internet companies, cable TV or some store), right?
I know those people are just doing their job, but the vast majority of them are very annoying. 
How do you get rid of them?

I don't bother with them, I let it go to voicemail or hit the reject button.

There's nothing you can do. I never pick up the phone and let the answering machine handle all.
