This is an interesting story that a former hospital in Montreal Canada that was called the Royal Victoria Hospital that closed its doors in 2015 was converted to a temporary homeless shelter for people and their pets since the bitter cold in Montreal this year had the majority of homeless shelters filled to capacity.
Some of the homeless shelters in Montreal do not allow pets which added to the decision to have a former hospital serve a homeless shelter until April 15, 2019.
The city leaders are hoping to assist the homeless in Montreal find temporary housing so the homeless population can be erased in their city.
At least Montreal Mayor Valerie Plante is working on a way to assist the homeless in her city to get back on their feet by finding them housing in her city with the help of the city leaders and output from the people who run homeless shelters.

I live in Montreal and was glad to see the city open this facility to the homeless. This winter has been quite cold so far.

@1hopefulman Every city around the world has it's share of trouble that is hard for any leader to tackle.
