Do you consume products that are expired?

It's clear that overdue products do harm to our health... But, how defeated do they need to be in order for this to happen?
Many people discard any type of product as soon as the expiry date arrives. They don't use it for even a single day. I don't know if this is the right way because there are some things that don't need to be thrown away immediately just because they have reached their expiration date.
Would you be one of them?

I drank a 4 year old open bottle of tequila the other night. My sister thought it was bad or went bad, I was like tastes fine to me. Does that count? Disclaimer, if anyone ever worried pass it to me, no waste here.

I throw things away on the expiration date! I just can't stand the thought of biting into something spoiled! I know..I know it's wasteful, but...

Yeah, in some cases a little extension is just ok.

It depends upon the item.

Maybe yes if its its within the month. They said we have 3 more months after expiry dates.

Depends on the product. If Ibought meat that was about to expire but I froze it, I think that would extend the expiry of the meat. I also will consume bread beyond its expiry date if I see there’s no sign of mold. I’m still alive so I guess the expiry dates are just a guide.

Unless we're talking about bread (because I've experienced eating moldy bread
a day after the expiration date), I'm fine with eating something that's a little beyond (days, weeks, maybe even months). Especially if it's nicely sealed and all that. But if it's years after, maybe I'll pass.

I hardly ever even look at the dates. If I am not sure I smell and look at the food first. Things like meat go straight into the freezer anyways here, so they are still good a very long time later.

No and it all depends on "best by date" most foods are good for long after that day and manufacturer wants you to toss the food and buy more.

Some examples "are made" to be consumed more quickly.
