Would you give your money away?

Here in the US they have these machines at grocery stores that you can bring your bulk change to and cash it in for paper currency. Yes it is a good idea for those who don't have the time or patience to wrap them with coin rollers and bring them to your bank. The one thing that these machines do is charge an interest fee per transaction. Yes these machines need maintenance and I am sure that is what this covers. Also it is a profit as well for the company who makes these machines. I personally roll my own and bring them to my bank because I don't want to pay for a service that I can do myself. Would you. Nope...I won't pay fees for those coin machines. However some offer gift cards like Amazon which I use so I would take that and there's no fees attached

Honestly, I would just go to the bank. I wouldn't pay the fees for the machines. Besides, I am already paying bank fees. So I might as well just go to my bank.

@Metsrock69 exactly. Why pay another machine or something else on top of that?

I have never used one... but I have walked passed them several times. It never occurred to me that they kept some of it for themselves... but it makes sense!!

@Metsrock69 You're right, but I'm not sure that my banks do it. I spend mostly coins in shopping.

Well maybe some day you will find some loose change and roll it up instead of putting it in the machine
