what we did yesterday

The kids were home until yesterday for a 4 day weekend, and I had plans for us to go hiking in a semi-local state park. Unfortunately some snags popped up yesterday, so we had to alter our plans.
Instead we went to a community park and played outside for a few hours. This park is also the site of a covered bridge historical landmark, and the kids alternated between playing on the swings and climbing structure and exploring the bridge. You can't drive a car across it anymore, but it's accessible to pedestrians. It's a really big bridge! Apparently it's thought to be the tallest covered bridge in the United States.
The photo is an attempt at me being an artistic photographer while my daughter and the other half are walking across the bridge.

@spiderdust After. We went in June of 2012 I believe. The fire was in 1993.

It is! It's the first covered bridge I've ever seen in California.

Is that the Honeymoon Bridge? It looks like the kind I grew up seeing.

I do too! I used to live near some when I was growing up, but they weren't nearly this big.
