Positive thinking is not always necessarily positive in its outcome.

Seeing positive duality, or seeing even negative aspects of duality as still containing some positive, relies on as rising above duality to love.
The world is made up with everything having dual aspects to it. Everything has a negative aspect. Everything has a positive aspect to it.
Something, some event, might be more negative for us, and there is not much we can do about that. For example, we might fall off a horse, and become a quadriplegic, breaking our neck.
There is nothing seemingly much positive about that, but then again, positive thinking allows us to stay aware that even within the most negative of events, there must still remain something positive about it too.
A positive attitude allows us to stay aware of God's hand in it, or the presence of the highest good still being alive for us, in what seems to be only bad for us.
This is about retaining our faith that all remains right at the highest level, and so even this will turn out for the good in the end.
We remain optimistic about any outcome for us, despite how we are seeing our current circumstances as being right now.
God is neither positive nor negative, and God cannot be described in Earthly ways.
God is God, and all is perfect with God, because there is nothing outside of God so God is all, in all.
God beams forth with love throughout creation, and this love shines on all alike, and converts situations into loving ones, when you see them as such, by remaining "positive window opened" in the dual world, of which God oversees, but does not fully fit into, as God is not dual, but one in one only.
Nothing can split God apart. God is always one, as he is one.

Only God sees perfectly. We see through a reflection mostly.

I think that sin and rebellion gave birth to negativeness and that eventually there will be only positives and the negatives will be gone. (Revelation 21:1-5)

Sometimes, a negative result can come about through ignorance as well.
If we spend too much time in the sun, we will get burnt, a negative result, whereas spending just the right amount of time, in the sun, is often said to be beneficial for our health.
Sometimes, we can label something too easily too. If we walk on outside one day without our umbrella with us, we might get very negative with ourselves for forgetting to take it.
Sure, we get wet, but getting wet is just getting wet, it is only us, that label it as being a negative happening.
It appears that negativity once existed in Heaven though.
Negative things sometimes happen in Heaven, like when the Devil rebelled, and was kicked out, for example.
The only total positive energy is love, and even in Heaven, where free will is also allowed in the subjects there, they can also decide to step away from love, and negative consequences always results from our doing of this, like which happened to the Devil and his minions.

@innertalks Yes, the Devil started sin and rebellion but things will not end well for him and any that follow in his footsteps.

His ways surely are higher than ours, thank God!
In the darkest of circumstances we can still be a blessing to someone, therefore you are right there is always still positive.

Even the most positive of people lose hope when stricken with a chronic ailment but then see also some positive elements in their plight. Why me? remains in their mind especially when they see others living life without a care in the world.
Belief in God definitely helps in tiding over tough times of misfortune and that ultimate justice waits across the door.
For me, misfortunes test me and I pat myself later that I am made of sterner stuff. I always recall the few instances when I thought all doors closed on me but then they are soon water under the bridge.
I feel time heals or a bigger problem puts others in the shade! I bounce back after a while picking up the pieces - siva

Thanks siva.
A benefit of thinking positively is that we remain optimistic too.
We can retain some of the connection to God's love then, and not cut it off too much through our negative knives slashing us off from things like joy, peace, and acceptive surrender of God's ultimate plan both for ourselves, and for mankind

@Shiva49 I have heard it said that we only ever live on the edge of life, if we just live from our body/mind equation.
We need to step up and into our soul to live a full existence here, as it has also been said, we are not humans having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

@innertalks Yes Steve, there are too many positives in this life for us to wallow in negativity.
God is benevolent, compassionate, and loving. Yes, he will never forsake us.
Then when we listen to our soul which I believe is connected to our creator, we are in safe hands, never disconnected from the wholeness. We can stray in the area of negativity but positivity beckons us with incentives like a more fulfilling and meaningful ride - siva
