Do you wear glasses? / myLot

I had to wear glasses since I was 1 year old. I was not very lucky. I was born with eye issues. Because I had to wear glasses I was bullied when I was a kid. I always had a problem with glasses because I was bullied. Children are very mean. They used to laugh and to make fun of my glasses. I hate glasses so much, but I have to wear them all the time. Without them my vision is blurry. Do you wear glasses? If you wear them were you bullied because of them?

@dya80dya Yes I had glasses when I was a child also..then did not wear them for a long time, then now I wear them again.

Only me who doesn't wear glasses and my vision is still clear, there are only a few black spots that close my eyes.

I have worn glasses since I was about 12. Some of my grandchildren need glasses too. Have you asked for some surgeries they do now?

I got my glasses in 1 grade i remember some Of the kids laughing. I was all way tease in school glasses on no glasses

My sister had to wear glasses from 1 yr old on as well, she got teased because her lenses were so thick and kids called her pop bottle eyes. Kids can be so cruel.

I only need reading glasses but my children and some of my grandchildren wear glasses. In think glasses have become so common these days that bullying isn't so common. But, yes, kids can be mean and will find things to pick on.

I wore them for distance as a kid. Now I need them for reading. My older son began wearing them when he was around 14 years old and needs them all the time. When he went to law school, the joke with all his friends that those who entered law school without glasses all wound up leaving needing glasses. I think they make him look distinguished. Kids can be so cruel.

Children do not understand why you had to wear glasses! It's good you survived being bullied in school. Maybe children these days understand the need to wear glasses.

I never had to wear glasses until I was an adult so never got bullied sorry you went through that. I love wearing them because they really help my sore eyes especially when I am doing close up work like painting or computer work
