Bubble of Joy

Hi Friends! I recently posted that my husband is ill. Well, he still is. I recently posted that my granddaughter is struggling with figure skating. Well, she’s doing a bit better. I recently posted that my grandson played goalie at Madison Square Garden. Well, we have a little bubble of joy for which to look forward!!! Some coaches from another team happened to watch him play that night. They invited him to play goalie on February 10th at Madison Square Garden during halftime at a New York Rangers and Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game. He’s so excited to play with the group of older kids and yet again on the ice of Madison Square Garden!!! So that’s our bubble of joy.

Thank you! Our son is just as excited and Facetimed us with the news. After our conversation, I told him it was nice seeing his ugly face, and he responded, "Likewise." We spent 3 minutes doubled over laughing our heads off. Excitement makes us giddy. How is your husband's mouth feeling today?

@DianneN My husband's mouth has fully healed (in my opinion), but he still plays the sick boy so he gets special attention. Thanks for asking. I hope your husband is feeling better.

@LadyDuck . Give your husband the special attention. Men can be such big babies. My husband is worse today and feeling weak and congested. Looks like we will be in all weekend.

Thank you!!!! He's taking it in his stride. As it turns out, his tennis coach thinks he is doing extremely well and feels he's ready to enter tournaments now. We are all happy to hear good news for a change.

That is very exciting news about your grandson. I see the trophy in front of him has kit kats in it. Yumm they look different then the red wrappers though so I assume they are a different flavor maybe dark chocolate or something?

@DianneN that may be hard for him. My daughter is left handed but everything else she does besides writing she does like a right handed person. Swinging a bat, kicking a ball etc she does it all with her right.

I only see the Kit Kat. I can't tell what else is jammed into that trophy. Thank you! He played very well and was so proud. He loves being goalie. The funny thing is that he was playing right handed until the coach found out he's a leftie. Now, he's relearning everything as a leftie player. Poor kid!

@shaggin Very interesting. I play golf as a leftie, even though I'm right handed. Maybe that's my problem.

I thought your granddaughter was doing much better getting the help and I thought she will be able to compete. Was I wrong in thinking that?
