Well this isn't about what we normally think status in society, its about fakebook status, whatsapp status and social media status.
Do you read what people post on their status? I don't often. Yesterday I took some time to read what people had posted and I was in tears, no I wasn't sad or feeling bad, I was just laughing till tears ran down my cheeks.
This is what I learned, most people write things they didn't even think twice about before posting, some people write things that are so fake I wonder of they believe it themselves, there are some who live in a world of dreams that has no contact with reality, some are outright silly and then there are those who mourn and weep and want the whole world to know.
There were just one or two that made me think, made me feel that here is someone that I might want to interact with.
I am happy that I am out of this game. I never post status anywhere. I hardly post on social media.
I am glad to know that I don't miss much. Maybe I am wrong.
What do you think about the status people post on their profiles?

@suni51 I like to see pictures of people, I have nothing against that but some people keep posting only pictures of themselves in unimaginable postures and styles. It makes me want to
There is this one guy, who makes videos like Jackie Chan and posts as his status literally everyday.

I think social media like anything else can be used for good or bad. Personally, I use it to share my faith and to share the gift God gave me which is photography.
Also, I have so much more peace and joy in my life since I stopped worrying about what others do and focused on my own walk with God. =)

@sofssu That's their cross to bear, no one elses. We will all be judged on judgment day. I won't allow anyone else's sin to cause me to sin.

@LovingMyBabies Agreed I have nothing against sharing your skills or your faith on social media. Anything that is used for good is always appreciated , but the majority of the world uses it for sharing fakeness and negativity.

@crazyhorseladycx I have done the muting thing on so many sites. I don't want to be caught up in other peoples negativity. Thankfully most of the stuff there drives me off the site, I hardly spend time there.

I find their stories interesting sometimes. I say so because I always find out things throughout their stories on social media that certainly make me learn more about what is happening in the world. Sometimes they post such unhelpful and dumb status, but most times I am curious to know more.

@jvicentevalera I have no doubt that social media can be put to good use. I used to be part of groups which were involved in rescuing pets, gardening and such . I have learned a lot from there, but majority of social media is fake or that is what I think.

@sofssu You are right that we might be fooled by social media and all the fake news around there. That is why We need to be more curious and learn more from other sources, then We will be well-informed. :)

I like to write about my experience and sometimes try to know other's view points about a particular topic. I never write about the negativities in my life, as I feel discussing them here will in a way draw me more towards the negativity..
I am here to divert my mind if I am sad.. At the same time, I think it is ok if some one write something about something bad that happened to them.. maybe for them it is the place where they can share their sadness and get relief, knowing that no one is going to judge them.. and even if some does, it doesn't matter..

@Sheali Let me present the practical side of the story,
They don't have to weep and mourn on a public forum, it just shows that all they are looking for is sympathy not working on solutions to their problems. It invites predators who could befriend them and use the information against them.
I would rather speak to a friend or elder who can help me.
Our private life is none of other peoples business, we hate it if others interfere with it, but we ask for public attention through what we post.. LKet me put it this way, you hate it when someone reads your diary, but now FB has become people's diary.
I am not judging, they ask for judgement.
