Do you eat food with your eyes?

A dish with well-designed (not necessarily fancy), well-organized food and good color harmony - besides the great taste, of course catches your eye before you, in fact, start to eat it?
Or does that make no difference to you (after all, the food will be mixed anyway)?

As far as food goes if I like the smell of it then I want to eat it. I have never thought of it with my eyes.

@Hannihar You have to learn to enjoy the food with your eyes as well.

It makes a lot of difference (at least in my point of view).

@WiseGhots But I will say taste is more important.

I think a beautiful arrangement with colorful foods is lovely. My family thinks I'm silly when I realize our dinner at times is all basically the same color!

I usually use a knife and fork!
OK I get what you mean. Half of the experience and enjoyment of what we eat is based on how it looks and smells - taste comes last!

The eyes check for something amiss.

It is always good to see a tastefully laid out platter
