That look....

When I go to bed at night, I usually watch shows on Netflix before turning off the lights. That's my night time habit.
Danie usually climbs up in bed and curl up next to me. These days she's been extremely clingy. She was really sad when we left her with just the maid for three days. Bet it was a horrifying experience for her. We've been told she was crying every night in from to our bedroom door.
Danie usually gets what she wants and she's the only one who can make me stop watching my shows. Who could resist that look? She's inviting me to turn off the lights and sleep already.

I was afraid Danie would suffer from separation anxiety and would go into depression. It's a common disease in their breed. Fortunately, we weren't away that long and now she's a happy puppy again.

Dogs can really be so endearing. My nephew's 2 dogs would be by the closed sliding door at night, to wait for his arrival. And when he arrives, they go crazy with happiness.
Dogs are so lovable and loyal. No wonder the owners are crazy over them.

@SIMPLYD Yes, it's actually taking care of a real baby. I'm more hands on with Danie than I was with my own son when he was a baby actually.

3 days. she probably felt so alone. i hope it did not affect her appetite.
if you're out and you called home and she can see you on the screen of a phone, tablet, laptop, etc can she recognize you?

The maid was with her and even slept with her so she wasn't really actually alone. But of course, the maid is different from us and she is more attached especially to me than any other people. When my husband was away on a cycling tour for four days, he would FaceTime us and try calling Danie, but no, Danie didn't recognise. Dogs use their sense of smell.

Indeed that's true love.
Here's a photo of Danie when I say goodbye to leave for work.

She was so sad when you left her for three days, thinking you had already abandoned her completely. That's the hard part of having such a cute pet, you can not go out for long because she would feel abandoned.

And after that trip, she follows me around now. She has learned how to climb up two plight of stairs on her own so she could follow me every time I go up in the room. Whenever I come home, she has to be carried or she won't stop crying.
