What do you use hazard lights in your car for?

Hazard lights in a car

Usually people use the hazard lights to indicate that their car has stopped or broken down and cannot be moved or if there has been an accident and cars behind need to stop. I have seen people use them for many other purposes - 1. Indicating that they are going straight ahead at a junction 2. When it rains 3. When slowing down for a speed bump 4. During fog Usually these are not the situations when one expects hazard lights to be switched on. When do you use hazard lights? (Image from gifer)

When the car is broken down, not working right or an emergency.

Mostly just in an emergency - when I want to warn people that the car isn't behaving normally.
