Act of Kindness Restores Hope

I witnessed something recently which lifted my spirit. This happened right when I needed it.
I'd had a very difficult week. I'd been stressed out/angry/sad. Marriage problems and depressing news reports, both locally and nationally- of violence and death.
It all hit me harder than usual!
That following Sunday, my husband and I went out for breakfast. We tried to make the most of it, but I was still upset about everything. My spirit was just weary!
While I was drinking coffee, I noticed a waitress chatting with two very elderly ladies. One of them was very small, frail-looking and hunched over.
The server picked up a knife and fork and started cutting up the frail woman's food.
She could've been rushing from table to table, trying to earn more tips. Instead, she took the time to truly serve someone who needed help!
I'm grateful that I saw such love in action that day. It inspired me so much and transformed my attitude!
Have you witnessed unforgettable acts of kindness?

Now that is very special that you do not see everyday. After how you have been feeling I am so glad you saw that nice thing the waitress did.

It is amazing how getting this kind of inspiration can help us, without a word being spoken.

I think God allowed me to see it. It was really a gift to me as much as it was to that elderly lady. Thank you for your comment @GardenGerty.
