Hard to believe that all the funds I had were almost empty already. I guess this is what it does to you caring four dogs and an aquarium. Not to mention my Grandma being here as well.
The dogs are not sick but not lucky with my fish, three died today despite my treatment. Darn, wish my brother never gave me that aquarium, nor i should have taken interest in it.
Well, it's not the end of the World, but it has made me sad a bit. Because when my brother was attempting to borrow money from me I couldn't give him anything.
Anyways, what did you do when you're at the point were you almost have no money left?
Have a nice day

i dip into my savings.
any additional headcount (visitor/guest, hiring a helper, new pets) that consumes food, water, electricity, etc automatically means additional expenses, in addition to the time and work/effort.

@Letranknight2015 in cooperatives we are actually borrowing our own money because we have share capital if one cannot pay it is written off and deducted from share capital. If we do not borrow our money we cannot earn from patronage refund.

@sol_cee I use to have issues with goldfishes, they are too sensitive so move on to other species of fish like the hammerhead catfish.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I see. There must have been something wrong with the fish even before he bought them.

About Aquariums.... try to have ornamental catfishes instead of goldfish, they have less mortality. pacu are also good, they are related to piranhas but ominivores and doesnt attack humans. You can feed them moringa leaves. I am not kidding, Pacus can survive with Moringa.

@Letranknight2015 not the janitor fishes, the pacus, these are the fish I am keeping. They make great pets and many owners just feed them leafy greens

Hello @CaptAlbertWhisker I have only bought small kois and my brother gave me some of those big ones. Really? those janitor fishes can just eat moringa alone? that's nice. But I have clear my aquarium of any bacteria and treating it with methelyn blue.

When I have no more money left, I just stay at home. =) That way, I won't spend any...
How may fish are still alive? Maybe if you lose all of them, it's time to stop buying new fish for a while. Maybe you need to disinfect everything. Be extra careful too because you might get salmonella or ecoli in handling those fish like my mother.
I think this is one of the reasons why you should not give a pet as a gift.

Hello @brokenbee This is like thrice already this month and I'm just giving them Methelyn Blue instead. How did your mother got salmonella or ecoli? What a waste of money. Maybe I'll just continue buy and feed them regardless. I'm tired of doing water changes and salt treatments. I got three to four fish that still infected or had worms still. Maybe the big one will survive.

@Letranknight2015 she was the one who cleans the aquarium at their flat and then after quite some time, she had discomfort on her stomach. So she had a checkup and that was their findings.

I will look at my drawer, or old wallets at the drawer and see if I had inserted a bill or so in it, because I have that habit of keeping some money in old wallets at the drawer and am happy if I find out that I still have some money let there.

Hello @arunima25 It's not the worst but it's just frustrating to the point that I can't save much. This is why I don't withdraw my savings through the bank.

Either I take out from my savings or borrow money from my siblings or a friend. But I hate being broke and swore to never be in that situation again so I make sure to scrimp whatever I can and save money little by little. Even if it's just as simple as filling up a coin bank.
