Lately anymore I feel so discouraged and unwelcome and even many times way more frustrated when it comes to seeing any Drs and Healthcare. Especially if I try seeing a specialist in a hospital or going to the ER. Anymore, most of them just seem so uncaring and just want to rush you off. And many times it takes until something is seriously wrong before anyone even tries to believe you, and then try pushing all the blame on you.
What I like about The Good Doctor is they are all so caring, and want to help someone. Does not matter how much $$ they have, the insurance they have, etc. It just matters on what is wrong and how they are all willing to try and help them. The one even can sense exactly what is wrong and try to find every Best way to try and help.
Sometimes with all my issues with my leg, I fear that it is going to take almost something serious to happen with it for anyone to want to try and believe me and want to help instead of blaming me without trying to get down to the bottom of why it is getting worse again instead of I know nothing, and let's do something even if it is Bad for the patient or they are allergic to this treatment or medication.
I want to Scream sometimes does anyone not want to Help Me or Care? Once I could get help as in Hyperbarics etc to try to help with this wound, etc to where I was not having to be on Antibiotics etc all the time. Even had Doctors that were willing to listen to me and explain things. Now the last Dr I tried seeing or NP tried telling me they don't want to debreed a wound and did not want to culture it, and swears the only thing they do is compression. But if a wound is infected, etc won't that continue to make things worse like I was seeing?
Am I the only one who gets frustrated these days when it comes to seeing a Dr?

Compression did make it worse, and Sad the so called Nurse Practictioner or so called Doctors did not care. Now I am facing major Medical issues and horrible case of Cellulitis and still plan on throwing more complaints against them.

@just4him Let me tell you I know they are far to hear the last from me. Just waiting to hear from the place where they did the Culture and then let the wound clinic who said this was no big deal... Just wrap and give them my real opinion. If it is Mrsa in there that caused the wound to get so much bigger, and the Bad cellulitis especially. All I know is I am on a major antibiotic now and thank goodness for insurance. Cost me $30 for a 14 day supply and will probably need at least one more 30 day supply. It would have been over $650 without insurance. I think they also had to do a pre authorization for it to be covered.

@KrauseHome Have you thought about bringing a medical suit against them? I know that's not an ideal situation, but something needs to be done. You're the one suffering from their malpractice. I'm sure you're not the only one.

Health care has definitely deteriorated in the past decade or so. Part of the blame goes to insurance companies and Medicare and other government-run programs. Doctors have to see something like 20 patients an hour so they do rush you through. The regulations are ridiculous. Example. My husband fell a year or so ago. He landed on his right hip. It was Sunday. He went to the ER and got X-rayed and superficial wounds were treated. But he was referred to see his orthopedic doctor. Fortunately, or so we thought, he had a previously scheduled appointment to have a recheck of his left hip that had had surgery a few years back on the very next day. So we when to the specialist on that Monday, regulations said he couldn't look at the right hip that was hurt because the insurance approval had been given only for the left hip. We'd have to make another appointment after waiting to get approval for the doctor to examine the right hip. (The doctor did, however, look at the X-ray from the hospital and determined it could wait for the appointment.) I had a similar situation come up with a neurologist.
I think many doctors do care. Their hands are tied by government and insurance company regulations -- especially the specialists. If we go to a single payer system, it will only get worse. I hope you are able to get the help you need.

@sugartoes I think the worst part is that a lot of doctors will quit because they won't want to except the kind of pay the government or the insurance companies will pay under these conditions.

@bagarad If we went to a 1 payer system many people would die before being able to be seen. Just a shame sometimes as is many places do not deem something necessary and refuse to want to do anything about something

@sugartoes If things do not improve, I hate to see what Health Care won't be for the Seniors. They always want to cut for them, but give more to those who just mainly don't try to do anything so they can get Free help

@jstory I finally feel I might have found some better help for this situation. Many people have been Praying and I am believing things will get better. And getting ready to make some major complaints when I find out the results of the last cultures they did.

@KrauseHome Being in pain is horrible, doctors cannot understand, may be those who experienced pain can.

Yes so do I. It is just a shame that it is getting harder and harder to find some that are like that here.

I know how you feel. When I was having chest pain, arm and face numbness I went to the ER every two weeks. They would always tell me I was fine and write another prescription. They didn't care or even look to find out how come my blood pressure was sky high. One doctor even said to me well if it was a heart attack you would have had it by now. Two weeks after my last visit there I did have a heart attack and was brought in my ambulance. That is when they finally started giving the care I should have gotten before the heart attack happened. After that I got the best of care but it took something serious for them to do anything.
I know how frustrating it is because you know your body and you know things are not right but they just don't seem to care. I wish the doctors were more like the doctors on TV but things just aren't like that in the ER.

Is is sad. I am on my husbands Medical even so it is not like I have Medicaid or Medicare. It just makes no sense to me that they always want to blame the patient, and not believe them when they say their is something wrong, or something they insist on doing does not work for you.
