Are you still happy with your life?

I've woke up very early this morning at 3:00 am and my friend notice me being awake at FB messenger. He seems to be very depressed asking me "Are you still happy with your life?". I've said yeah, my family is my inspiration.
His wife is working abroad and he has a son who is a special child. The kid can't walk at the age of 3. My friend also have a motor accident last year and he almost lost his right foot.
I've told him to make himself busy on something. He said "I don't know if I can still hold on".
He was my best-friend during college and I think he has a stronger personality than me that's why I am shock with his words.
I've left him with the message "stay strong, my friend".
So when a friend who have a situation like this. What positive words or action you will try to do? Do you help your friends during their troubled time?

He sound depressed. I'm at a loss on how to help someone like that because it is in their own world, their own mind. Maybe, if he realizes this will also pass and hold on like oyu said he will have some hope.

I know he can surpasses his problem. He just needs to pour it out. I hope letting me know his situation somehow helps. I've encourage him to do something online, like earning from site or anything that will fill his bored time.

@yoalldudes That's the only means I know. If only I can be there beside him and comfort him but I have some of mine that I need to fix too.

I think your friend is going through a terrible depression and he really needs help. He needs to be motivated. He needs something that could keep him busy. Why don't you invite him to mylot?

Life isnt static we should know this,all we should do is praying to either cope or overcome. I still love my life though.
