A parrot rode the bus yesterday

An interesting thing happened while I was riding the bus. Yesterday, Bus number 2 to Waikiki got an interesting rider, a parrot. The parrot was well behaved and did not mind people staring at it. The rider and his color green parrot came on the bus yesterday. Have you ever seen a parrot riding your bus too?

He and his human came on the bus. He was a huge bird, that is very well trained and stayed on the shoulder and kept quiet most of the time as the rider and his bird sat on the bus. His parrot is very well behaved and they don't mind if you take a picture as one rider did.

It was. So well behaved and nothing perturbed the parrot. He just stayed on the bus rider's arm all the while they were on the bus.

I don't take the bus so I don't think I'll be able to see a parrot but I'm sure some have their dogs.

@oahuwriter Yeah, my dog is a very well behaved one and I always take her to the mall. She has her own favourite mall.

Dogs and sometimes cats too in a little stroller with a net to cover them. These little pets are so well taken care of and they are very well behaved on the bus too.

It sure was. You see this colorful thing that moves on a man's shoulder you can't help but stare at them. They are quite comfortable with it and pay no mind to the stares and picture takings of them.

@oahuwriter that’s lucky! Mine is way too noisy. He wants to be with me every second but he is so noisy I can’t have him on my shoulder while my son is doing his schoolwork. I don’t have enough time to spend with this parrot who badly wants a mate so I am going to be looking for a new home for him in a few months.

Maybe that's why he is so noisy? Anyway you're going to do right for him and he is lucky that he has a human like you. Good luck and hope things go well for you finding your parrot a new home.

I've recently seen only this parrot and his human, anyway sounded like a male bird while riding the bus. These parrots are very well behaved.

They are majestic birds with so much colorful feathers and the beak is huge!
