Today my middle son got into the water. He has bad anxiety with pools and getting into the water. He was invited to a pool Birther day party. I told the mom before hand I wasn’t sure if he would get in or not because he is scared of the water. His aunt asked if she could come with us and help out since she is a swim teacher. She go him into the pool but he did get into the hot tub for most of it. He saw on the steps and chatted with a few of the other boys that where invited.

What made him scared? Did he have any bad experience with getting into the pool before?

Nope! He is just like his mommy. We are just scared of it do know why. It makes us both have anxiety and hard to relax. He use to get in all of the time up till he was 2. I would go in with the kids and take them only in the shallows or we would sit on the stairs. He just isn’t a big fan of water.
