I had a dream fit for NoSleep or CreepyPasta!

This may end up being long. I can't overly help that much, but I will try to keep it as short as possible. This is a dream I had last night. We left the hospital with a plan set into action. We needed to go by Target and get a few food and comfort items. This Target was set up differently and had a new promotion going on. I had a book in the backseat I wanted to get rid of and so we were to do that before we did the regular shop. The parking lot was massive but everyone seemed to be crowded around the entrance where the book section of target was. That's where the promotion was going on. This extended book section was a new thing and they were setting it up like a buy/ sell / trade. Honestly, I wasn't really expecting to get much out of this book, if they took it at all. Let me fast forward a bit. We sat in this cozy little room on stools. Two people came around the room to greet us and help us. The one helping me was tall, built but also a little on the chubby side. He seemed rather gruff in manner as well. Alarm bells were going off in the back of my head but I paid them no mind. I wanted this to be a quick trip. He originally told me that I would be able to sell the book and get $100.00 out of it. I thought that seemed rather odd but I wasn't going to complain or question it. He took the book and gave me the $100.00 but asked me to stick around for a receipt. I obliged. He came back up a few minutes later and apologized, told me that he thought the book was a rare edition but it wasn't. It turns out he couldn't accept it at all. I gave him back the $100.00 and he gave me back the book. We left. We got home and put away the groceries. I told the family about the failed attempt at selling the book and how I could have gotten $100.00 out of it. By this time it was dark outside, but not overly late. Maybe 8 pm. Our front door was unlocked as we might have to go back out and get some more things from another store. A car pulled into the driveway and a sudden fear washed over me. I didn't have any reason for it but I knew that I needed to go lock that door. I had just bolted the latch when a face showed up from the other side of the glass. It was the man from Target. He was screaming about the $100 bill and how I had better give it back. I told him that I already had and that he needed to leave. I threatened to call the police. This only enraged him more and he began to bang on the door. I ran to the other part of the house and explained what was going on. A family member was already on the phone with the police. I took the phone from him and explained. As I was explaining, I could hear the man get into his car and leave. The police told me that if he came back again, to call them immediately and they'd be right over. We hung up and I got the idea to go back to the target store and talk to the man's manager. I knew it was a bit risky as the man could have gone back to work, but I wanted to explain what was going on. The man had terrified me and I wasn't going to let him get away with it. The family member that went with me the last time dropped me off, he had to go somewhere else. I went into the target and found a woman working in the same department .She wasn't the manager but she did tell me that she knew who I was talking about. She told me that he had threatened her several times. By this time the store had closed and she escorted me out. The man was outside of the store staring right at us. He was far enough away that we could make it over to her car. He was screaming expletives at us and generally threatening. The woman let me get into her car with her. "I'm heading home." she announced. I told her that was a bad idea, that he was sure to follow us. She didn't listen, and yes he did follow us. She wouldn't let me into her home but that didn't much matter, an old friend was driving by and saw me. He offered me a ride and I told him about what was going on. At this point the man was nowhere to be seen. I had a feeling he was hid somewhere with his lights off, just waiting for us to make a move. After awhile we noticed that we were being followed. I called the cops and told them our location and which way we were traveling. I explained how I had talked to them before and what had transpired between now and then. At the same time my friend announced that he was taking us to his friends house. This house happened to be farther away and on the edge of the county, out in a very rural area. I told him that wasn't a good idea but he had set his mind to it. The cops said they would be there as soon as they could and to maintain speed. "Above all else, do not cause a traffic accident!" It was late enough at night that there wasn't many people out on the road. The further we traveled, the more rural it became. The car was still tailing us and increasing it's speed. We could do nothing but speed up. I looked at the speedometer at one point and saw we were going about 80 on a rural, curvy road. I didn't dare tell my friend to slow down though. We got to his friends house and ran for his door. Luckily he kept his door unlocked and we barged through like the man was hot on our heels. There was a gun by the doorway and my friend took it up. "Go wake him up!" He said pointing up the stairs while still looking towards the front door. By the time I got his friend woke up and downstairs with us, the police had arrived. The man lay unconscious in the front yard. I don't know how and I don't much care how. We've been told that he'd be sent to the mental ward of the hospital for evaluation. "It could just be an anger issue, but we don't want to rule out the possibility that he needs help." I won't be going back to Target again. Thanks for sticking around if you did. This was a rough draft, an unedited version. It was also long, I know. Trust me when I say that I left some details out to make it shorter. I will probably re-write this, omitting Target and placing some fake name in. I intend to upload this to creepypasta on reddit and / or voice it myself

Oh my goodness, you had a very detailed creepy dream. I wonder what lies behind your dream. Do you feel in danger?

I am not sure if there is any lesson that can be taken from this dream. I do know that I had worried about my health about a week ago. That worry is now gone. I do worry about another person's health sometimes, but that person was at home in my dream. I'm not sure why it started at a hospital. The book thing was probably because I had trouble deciding what to read next. I've since figured that out, and had it figured out before I laid down for sleep. The locked door thing might be because I locked the door last night and I hate being the one to lock the door at night. I always feel as if there is someone on the other side of the door just looking at me.

@ScribbledAdNauseum This is a good analysis of your dream, the little stress about the locked door surely played a big role.

@LadyDuck It does seem as if it became larger than life in the dream.
