I needed a project this morning since I decided I was house bound after getting a bunch of freezing rain last night. It is lalmost literally a skating rink outside. I started driving to the gym this morning before realizing this, got two blocks and realiZed I could not stop due to the later of ice on the roads...and turned around and went home.
I had ordered some cocoa butter to try to make my own body butter. This time I used Shea butter, coconut oil and the pure cocoa butter and it smells amazing without any added scent to it! I haven’t tested out the texture yet but I will soon.
Do you have any “snow day” projects?

I have mango butter and beeswax. I've been thinking of getting some cocoa butter and making my own lotions. I'd also like to get some fragrance to go with it.
I spend snowy days outside, unless it's entirely too cold for that.

@maezee I got mine from ebay, but there are so many other places to get it. Oh yes, Cocoa butter does smell like chocolate which is why I love it.
Bulk Apothecary carries a lot of stuff, ebay is usually cheaper.

Ooh that sounds lush! Wish I was close enough to try a little bit!
Yes I have lots of indoor projects awaiting attention - because basically at any opportunity I will be outside in the garden so I never get to them! Must urgent is some curtains for the spare bedroom, really must get to those!

Since in Jerusalem we do not always have snow and rain is what we need in winter I did figure out some projects I will put on my blog. It is still winter and do not miss the ice. That is very scary. So what do you put in to making your own body butter. I buy mine in the store.

I've been finishing a few projects for when I move into my cabin. I just did a very nice piano bench with paint and stain and going to make a seat cushion for the top with my blue French Toile material. I have an antique small wood trunk I'll make one for it too. I also have a 50's rocking chair so will make a cushion to match. It's supposed to snow and freeze all month.
