A few years ago when we were teaching English in Warsaw Poland, we traveled about the countryside most weekends, just for fun. One of the really great places that we visited was the home of Chopin in the countryside about an hour by train west of Warsaw.
The house now is much changed from when Chopin was born there in 1810, when the floor was of dirt and the roof was thatched, according to information at the house.
As can be seen, we visited in the depths of wintertime, when, obviously, the temperature was very cold.

That sounds interesting even in winter. I would love to visit this house.
