There are some questions you just don't ask someone you don't know. Or even someone you do know, for that matter. I was doing my volunteer hours in the shelter cafeteria, and a lady asked me when I was due. I can't have any more children. Not only that, due to circumstance, I signed over my parental rights to my son. His adoption is final this week. So for some of us, being asked if we are pregnant isn't just an accusation of being overweight. I made some bad decisions that put me where I am today. Without my family, without a home. But that does not mean I deserve to be judged or looked at with condescending eyes. There is only One who can judge me, and I know that He has forgiven me of my sins. Those little old ladies that think they are "good Christian women" just because they volunteer in a homeless shelter sin no better or worse than I. She didn't seem the least bit sorry either. I'll pray for her
