There are many good sad songs with nice words and good soft music. I, sometimes listen to them for the deep meaningful words. If I keep listening to the same song over and over again, sometimes, I feel a little depressed even if, to begin with I was fine...
Do you feel the same?

I listen to sad songs when I am feeling depressed.
My mood then turns from one of depression to one of love. I emphasise with the singer and his, or her, meaningful words, and it never fails to uplift me.
I guess this is because, on the emotional tone scale, sadness sits above depression.
The American singer, Reba McEntire, says that she feels the same way, as I do about sad songs.
"For me, singing sad songs often has a way of healing a situation. It gets the hurt out in the open into the light, out of the darkness."
But why does my mood then go from sadness to love?
When sadness is fully felt it osmoses into love, for they are truly two sides of the one coin in a way.

@Sheali I can easily feel the emotion a song is trying to express. Especially sad songs. I try to stay away from sad songs when I am feeling down because it only makes me feel much worse.
