94 year old Leo McLarney who is one of the last remaining survivors of the sneak attack by Japan at Pearl Harbor and served in the U S military in Guadacanal recently faced the challenge of needing repairs on his roof and home in Palmetto Bay Florida after Hurricane Irma wrecked his home in 2017. Thanks to the local news reports from the Columbia Broadcasting Service (CBS) news reports from the Miami area earlier this month that Leo needed help to repair his home, donations from strangers and others came pouring in to assisting him to have his home repaired by the Miami-Dade County officials to replace his roof, paint his home and replace his carpets.

As a 94-year-old WWII veteran it's nice to know people rallied round to help Leo.

A lot of people who get assistance from strangers make the claim that humanity is alive and well.
