Being serious as a heart attack....

This weekend we heard sirens early in the morning. My aunt said most likely someone is having a heart attack. I asked her how did she know that. She said that most heart attacks happen in the morning. Interesting, so then I asked what are warning signs, so that you can call for help. She said womens heart attack signs may be different than male heart attack symptoms. Chest pain is number one, but jaw/teeth pain, shortness of breath, nausea and vomiting, dizziness, fainting. What's weird is that I sometimes have symptoms but nothing happens. That worries me because who knows how to distinguish between a minor issue to a heart attack.

First of all, maybe you should have an annual check up. Then you will know, or that is what I have always heard, when it is a heart attack. Learn the triggers to watch out for.

@favorgrais Be careful, my doctor advises against it, just be careful not to believe everything you read.

@CarolDM Yes that what I was told, but I just use it to determine if there's any similarities. Sometimes what I find is correct info.

Sometime you can mistake a heart attack for gas pains you can take a rolaid and see of that eases the pain Sometimes i take a rolaid and pepsi together and that helps make me burp because i hurt so bad But anytime you think your having a heart attack BETTER to be safe and call an ambulance.. But you know your body better then anyone ..listen to the signs your body gives you ..

Someone I knew thought she was having a heart attack but she was full to the top with gas and that was it nothing more. We have sirens going here early in the morning but its usually road accidents more than anything.

Those are also signs of a panic attack, and I often have wondered the same thing- am I having a panic attack or a heart attack? This of course, increases the anxiety I am already having. I have always pictured a heart attack being something sudden, and the person clutching their chest. I wonder how many of us have had minor heart attacks and did not even know?

I have had one panic attack and never had another one. Felt like my heart was palpitating. I knew it was because of stress. It wasn't painful, just scary.
