The great Zen master, Alex Coshlo, was on his death-bed.
His students asked him if he had any final words to say to them.
Now, Coshlo was also a renowned poetry writer.
He said to his students then,
"Write this on my grave"
Death's Journey into love
No one dies alone
Everyone travels love's way
Don't die not yourself.
"What did you mean there?", one of his students asked him.
The master took one last deep breath, sighed, and died.
Coshlo was telling them then that life lives in us all until we die, but in the end, life does not die with death, but keeps going on its own journey, both with and without us. Nothing really ever dies to life. Love ensures us of that. Be yourself, love.
