Winter storm Maya is heading east and also into the Eastern areas of Canada, was she as bad as expected?

I need the input of anyone who's willing to help me with something I'm working on. I saw the forecast for the winter storm Maya that was supposed to impact many states between Washington and Oregon all the way East to Maine and South to parts of Kentucky, Illinois and Missouri.
Being concerned about the lives that would be impacted from this storm I began praying that the storm would be calmer than expected. I know that parts of Michigan got a lot less than the forecast but I'm not able to find out how the other states did.
Sundays forecast showed snow and ice mixtures moving west and affecting most of the States. Then when it got to the states near Kentucky it was supposed to move North so each area of most states would get the wintry mix including icy conditions.
Looking at the weather maps currently it looks like it's now mostly rain that the states south of Michigan is getting but the wintry mix storm is still heading into Canada East of Detroit and continuing on it's path toward Maine as well.
I'm interested in hearing where you live and what the forecast for your area was and then what you actually got. If you want to write your own discussion in an answer to this that's fine too. For this particular storm system if you tag it:
Winter storm Maya
Then anyone interested can find it. Or you can leave your results here. Or do both. I'd appreciate it if you'd also let me know you did write something or plan to so I'll know to look for that specifically.
Thank you for your help. For the other areas or countries I'll be looking for your help later relating to storms forecast for your area.

@amadeo The ice needs to stay away over that wall you and I built. Do you see it being thrown over that wall, Fredo?
Did you also get any snow yesterday or Sunday?

Now, that's an idea I hadn't thought about. Which states should be included do you think? That wall would have to be as high as Jacob's ladder and I've no clue on how high that went. Probably into the atmosphere, that should do it. Can you finance that one, Fredo? That's a bit of tongue in cheek or
for your,

.
But, seriously, is your storm weather just beginning or have you been having it every day so far this week? If you've been getting some every day are you getting what was forecast or less or more or different or maybe we don't know what you're getting just yet?

Different states were getting the storm on different days, so I'm guessing you might be correct on getting it on Sunday, but I'm not sure.
I don't always pay attention to the storm systems and just go with what people say when I'm working, but the ideas rarely are the same so I decided to check it out on Sunday and that's when I found it was heading our way and impacting more states than I knew. I think that this storm may also be still bothering Washington and Oregon, but it could also be a different storm this round.
Did you have any rain or what they call a wintry mix which could be rain, sleet, hail or resulting in some ice. Do you know if the forecast was worse than what you actually got?
We were supposed to get two to five the other day and got one to two. Today we were supposed to get two to five this morning and got about two. But, it is snowing again and began sometime after lunch, so I don't know what is forecast for this round our what we might be getting when it's done.
We were supposed to get four to five storm systems through Michigan into next week and now it looks like next week is supposed to be free from snow until later in the week. I'm hoping that's a different forecast than what they were talking about previously.

We are supposed to get more than a foot but we will only know when it's over.

@MarshaMusselman Yes, I think that it is the same snowstorm. So far we have had 14 inches of snow and may get a couple more inches because it is still snowing.

@1hopefulman we had ten inches last Monday but that was a different storm system. Yesterday we may have gotten six to eight inches but at least no ice this time and the sun keeps trying to peek out which is nice and unexpected.

That would be expected, that no one would know until after it leaves. Is this Maya that you're getting and I think it's the first time it's traveled that far north or east as I'm not sure exactly where in Canada you are. I think it may have hung around Michigan for three days, but I'm not exactly sure anymore. We were supposed to get one or two more larger storms again next week and now it looks like most of the week might be clear at least until the weekend.
If you don't mind revisiting this post and updating me on the storm once it's done. I'd like to know whether you get what was expected or not.

Was today their first snow storm in a few days? I'm thinking this storm just arrived their today, but I'm not sure.
I need to do a bit of shoveling in the morning so my husband and daughter don't get wet ankles before they even start working. It looks like maybe six inches or so out there looking at her footprints in the snow.

@BelleStarr This is our second week of more than a few inches of snow, the first week of the month we had a wintry mix ending in ice everywhere and we still have some of that under the snow we got yesterday. Most schools here have had eleven days off this month from below zero weather and then all the snow and icy roads.

Not a lot of snow, but really bad winds and we are getting ice pellets at the moment!

Ice pellets like hail where they are harder or more like sleet where it can then turn to ice? What forecast do you have for the remainder of this storm system? I know others might be on their way, but for this one in particular is what I'm looking at right now.

I'm in Pennsylvania and we got far less than what was predicted. We barely got any snow but we have been getting sleet. Once it changes to rain later I have high hopes it will wash it all away.
Predicted snow was at least 4 inches . We got about an inch (schools are closed)
I didn't post anything today about the storm.

Thank you for your input. I'm thinking of beginning some sort of prayer warrior group for weather issues. I'm guessing that the states south of Michigan also didn't get what was expected because that system was going to linger in this region until Thursday at least and it's already heading away. I've been praying, since Sunday, that the system calms down. I've also talked with others willing to pray.
We were supposed to get some more ice or sleet and I've yet to discover whether we got any of that as I've not gone outside. But we were also supposed to get three to five inches. My daughter thinks we got more than I'm thinking because our tire tracks are covered, but that may be due to winds not inches.
Many wanted some snow and I figure snow over our icy driveways at least give us a bit of traction for walking without falling, but other than that we didn't need the rest of the mess.

@MarshaMusselman the weatherman hasn't been very accurate around here this winter.

That's the best response to my question that I've had thus far related to what you were expecting and what you actually got, thanks. I've been praying for the storm to calm down. I know it hasn't calmed down enough in some areas but maybe even in those places it would have been much worse.
I will have to either do some shoveling earlier tomorrow or get out the snow blower because both my husband and daughter work and neither wear boots, so they'd get their shoes and pants a bit wet. I've been wearing boots, but found that they are too tight on my toes and bruising them a bit. I may still wear them as they are more skid free than my shoes, but I'm not sure yet.

@shaggin well... They've been more accurate this month than we like. I've been praying for the storms to be more calm than expected and I'm sure that's happened overall. I got a slow start and didn't think to pray for where it was heading after us, but snow is much better than what was in the forecast. I know Deborah M. got ice but I've not heard if other places expecting it did

Is that what you got yesterday or through the night too? We might have gotten six inches or so, and I'll be doing a post on that later too.
Do you have any idea what the forecast was for your area prior to the storms arrival?

@MarshaMusselman The forecast was 6-12 inches. Many places got over 14 inches. When I went to bed last night they were saying 7.1, but I knew it was more as the totals were from an earlier hour. I wrote a post about it.
