Last Sunday I made a woman cry and I do not regret having done it because I did it for love. Edith is my friend and sister in the faith of Christ. We are members of the same Christian community. His only son, named Edithson, who is also my friend, went to live in another country forced by the political and socioeconomic situation that our Venezuela lives. Edithson asked me to be the bearer of a surprise for his mother on her birthday. I said a few words congratulating her and put a gift in her hands at the morning Sunday school service. Of course, my friend Edith did not expect that and could not contain the crying that caused her surprise. When they asked me at home how Edith had reacted, I told them that everything had gone well because I made her cry. Have you made someone cry for love? Who have you made to cry for love? Can you tell us? Tell me also your experience with reading this narrative exercise.

The point of the discussion, Janeth, is not who made you cry, but who wept with something nice that you did to her, a pleasant surprise, something good, without hurting him, in a loving and friendly way. In your case it is bad because it hurts and you do not like it.

At first when reading this I was curious . Then I understood and was pleased how you made her cry. I recently went to visit my mother at the hospital and she cried because she was glad I had come.

That is a good way to make people who love us and those we love cry, in this case when they visit them when they most need company. Well done.

Some are very sentimental and may cry on receiving a gift. I experienced the same.

That's right, and I'm glad to know that they gave you a gift and you cried because of the emotion, but have you caused someone to cry with a gift or with nice words?

@Sreekala I did not want to use the word happiness when telling this anecdote, but someone used it in their response and comment. To make someone cry like that, out of love, is to make him cry with happiness.

@DianneN That's wrong, because he did not cry for happiness, but for money, he cried for money...or because you spent a lot

It was fun to read about you surprising Edith for her son. I think I weep with relief when my husband is feeling better.

Well, when you have the opportunity, do it and you will have some reward. Did not they make you cry for love, cry for happiness?
