Disney World Ride That You Should Avoid... Really Avoid

Mission Space... Orange Actually, there are two Missions that you can choose from. One is Green and the other is Orange. A few years ago the entire family (including my father-in-law) broke into teams and chose Green. It was fun I have to admit because everyone on the Mission was given a role to play. Jump ahead to last year. There was only the three of us this time... hubby, myself and our adult daughter. We decided to go for the Orange Mission this time. We read the warning sign to be sure we knew what we were signing up for... We decided that we still wanted to go on the adventure. Here's what it said... "The Orange Mission uses a centrifuge that spins and tilts to simulate the speed and G-forces of a spacecraft launch and reentry. If you’re prone to motion sickness or uncertain about which level to choose, you should opt for the Green Mission." Okay, G-Forces... I have heard of them... this sounds like fun... Orange Mission it is!!!! Okay, I made it to the end... but had to close my eyes a few times... which I hated doing!! It was sooooo real! And now I know why. You REALLY WERE spinning and experiencing G-Forces. Yes, I got off feeling pretty dizzy, but so was my husband and daughter!! I expected that they would be laughing... but they were kind of green! And it lasted for a good couple of hours!! I decided to see if I could find a video... that had to be safer right?? Nope... I watched about 15 seconds of it before I started feeling queasy all over again. And again it lasted a good couple of hours. Not even sure that I would attempt the Green Mission again...!!! Have any of you been on either of these rides?? photo credit...

Not for me. I am much. much, MUCH too old for such rides. I feel green just reading about it.

No, but I hated Space Mountain at Disneyworld. A roller coaster in the dark is just too scary for me! I was young and adventurous at the time too..

I really didn't know that they would have the entire chamber that you were in... spinning. Okay, it's making me dizzy just thinking about it!

I’ve been to Disney World and Disneyland twice, and Space Mountain was bad enough. You will never see me on Orange or Green. You are brave!

The Green was no big deal at all... I had no idea that the Orange would be so... I don't even know how to describe it!!

I soooo want to experience it again, but I won't. I always wondered what it would feel like to experience a take off like that. This will be the closest I will ever come.

No sorry my ears are not friends with those kind of things so I stay away from them. You were brave to get on them though.

@Hate2Iron A lot of people won´t get on them as they are scared even more than me. My friend got on was very sick and never ever went on one after that. I like things like the horses roundabout you know they just go up and down a bit nice and gently.

I've been to Disney World 4 times and don't recall this ride. I've been in Space Mountain and a Star Wars ride. Thanks for the warning.

It's fun! Young people can do it well; but not for us adults who can get so dizzy with those rides.

I tried the Rocket ride in Tomorrowland the last time I was at Disney a couple of years ago. NEVER AGAIN. First there is not a seat in the rocket. That was a shock. You climb in and sit on a board on the floor. It spins around so fast I almost got sick. I had to close my eyes and that is the worst when you are spinning. It's like Dumbo on Speed. I'll take Dumbo any time.
