Tencel

I was looking at some clothes and came across a shirtdress that was made of tencel. I had never heard of it before and I asked the woman beside me if she knew what it was. Nope. So here I am at home and looking it up on the internet. This is what I found: "Tencel is a natural, man made fibre which is also referred to as Lyocell. Made with wood pulp from sustainable tree farms, tencel textiles are created though the use of nanotechnology in an award-winning closed-loop process that recovers or decomposes all solvents and emissions." So now we know. But it's interesting that the maker calls it "natural" and "man made". How can it be both?

When I see "man made" I think "plastic".

I haven't heard of Tencel either.I reckon it is better than the pure man-made fabric.

That is interesting and a good use of wood pulp. I guess natural because it comes from an object in nature but then is used by humans to make it wearable so man-made.
