Before you cross the street, do you look both ways?

I know this question may seem a little bit silly for some of you, but it's impressive how many people I've seen crossing the street without doing the basics: looking both ways. Sometimes, I have the impression that this rule seems to be neglected and people cross the streets irresponsibly (which is obviously a bad thing to do).

@WiseGhots No,it's not silly at all. When I have to cross the street, I deeply sigh,I close my eyes and run across. So far I have had luck..

I see it all the time. The laws here favour the pedestrian. As a driver, I'll assume that they aren't stopping.

Before crossing the road I will look both the ways. Otherwise any accidents may happen. So careless people be careful before crossing roads.

I drive across the campus of a local community college a couple of times a week. It almost seems as if the college students are begging to be run over. As a driver it's terrifying, keeping an eye on every possible pedestrian that might step out in front of me is almost impossible

I pay attention to traffic before I cross the street. Mostly that's when I go to the pool in the morning. There's almost no traffic at 5 a.m.

I walk alot so im. Always in the be safe mode and alert to others ..but i have noticed when driving Others dont seem to be as concerned like the bike rider who is slowing traffic down that im.scared of hitting..
