GOD and the god

As the Bible demonstrates, there are two antithetical powers clearly identified and defined in the world, they are the true God, YHVH GOD, Creator and giver of life, and the false god, Satan, who introduced sin and death. YHVH GOD, Father of Jesus Christ, is a source of Light, of good, of life, of truth. Satan, called by Jesus Christ the prince of this world, liar and father of lies, produces darkness and confusion, brings death and destruction.
In John's first letter in verse 5 of chapter 1 (John 1: 5) he says: This is the message we have heard from Him [of Jesus Christ] and we announce to you: GOD is light, and in Him there is no darkness. This expression that GOD is light has an attributive sense and denotes the nature of the expression of GOD. When the divine light shines in man, it becomes truth.
Just as light is the nature of God in His expression, so in a similar way darkness is the nature of Satan in his evil deeds (1 John 3: 8)
The book of Job, an Old Testament book that narrates the suffering of a tribal chief of extraordinary piety and integrity, accurately marks who is YHVH GOD and who is Satan, describes in detail what one does and what the other does with the people and its environment. Jesus Christ sums it up in a few words in verse 10 of chapter 10 of the Gospel of John: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10)

Thanks, that's a good explanatory discussion piece.
I guess then, we live in darkness, until we turn on the light of God within ourselves. When that happens, we find God's truth in us, and it then sets us free from the clutches of non-truth.

@karibe Yes, thanks. We are free when Jesus sets us free, because we then belong to God, even as Jesus does as his son. Until then, it could be said that we belong to Satan, so we are not free.

@innertalks Are you completely free? Have you received the freedom that Jesus Christ gives you? Do you still belong to Satan? Tell me about it.

@karibe I do not always feel completely free, because I feel of limited power. I have knowledge of sorts without legs to walk with it, or to use it.
If I was as free as Jesus was, I believe God could work the same miracles through me as he worked through Jesus then too, and Jesus told us as much too. I cannot do this, so I am not completely free.
While the truth sets us free, most of us still carry an inherited sin in us, and Satan always can tempt us, even as he tried to tempt Jesus too.
While on the Earth, nobody is free of Satan, who rules it for now, but we can be free in our heart and feel that to be so, and do the best to remain free in our mind, by keeping love there for God, for our self, and for all of creation.

God must have known that His angel was harboring resentment well before he visited Eve in the Garden and deceived her. Why did he not intervene?

@cindiowens Because Eva was free to make decisions, had free will or free choice.
