I’m happy to report that we just celebrated making it 1 year being gluten free for my 4 year old. Last year after taking him back in to get another skin scratch test with the allergies to show that I know he has to have more food allergies then just eggs, nuts and shellfish. The nurse did the test and the doctor looked at his back. He popped on wheat, peanuts, cashews, almonds, shellfish, and sesame seeds. He showed a small sign to eggs so we only let him eat eggs in baked goods. Everything he eats now doesn’t have any glutens in. We still see the GI but I have a wya different child then I did a year ago. He sleeps no doesn’t wake in pain any more, doesn’t get sick and start throwing up, can use the bathroom properly because before hand he couldn’t poop it was so wet like a newborn he wouldn’t make it to the bathroom in time. His eczema has cleared up, his hair is thinking up, he showed small improvement in weight gain.

We are waiting for him to do a good growth spurt. He is getting taller. We try to be as gluten free for him as we can. Everything he eats is gluten free.

@Hannihar it depends most all the dinner meals are 100% gluten free but breakfast and lunch I typically make whatever everyone wants. The house it’s self is 80% gluten free and the other 10% has gluten. He eats everything gluten free.

It’s not really a recovery we still have a ways to go. We are tying to prove he has celiac as well.

You mentioned eczema, aside from the one you mentioned, not eating anything with gluten, is there a topical cream that works for eczema, a friend of mine has it. He tried everything but to no avail.

We don’t use creams on him. We use a lotion and since he as a ltonof food allergies we don’t use things that he hasn’t had before. His ezcema cleared up when he stopped eating gluten food allergy correlate a lot to people’s with food allergy.
