Hot February brings the devil in the womb

The weather here is really nice and warm lately and I have just read the news saying that temperatures between 21 and 26 celvious are expected during the weekend.
My mom uses to say a portuguese proverb that says that "Hot February brings the devil in the womb", it means that we will pay this good weather later.
I am not complaining because I love warm weather but I know this isn't good and we will have problems with water and with the crops.
Do you know this proverb? Do you have a similar one?
How is the weather where you live? Is it how it should be?
Picture: my kids in an artificial beach at a park last summer.

We've had a very hot February here in Florida. That usually means we will have a bad wildfire season in the spring, but I don't know if that will be the case this year, as we have had an abundance of rain in what is usually our "dry" season.

@nela13 I don't know about good weather, but it is warm here most of the year. It does get somewhat cold in the winter, but not for very long. Six moths out of the year we are in hurricane season, so we're always prepared for bad weather.
We like to joke in Florida that we only have two seasons...Summer, and Christmas Day!

I have not heard of that saying. I know there are some similar in English but I can't thin of any at the moment.
It is cold and rainy here. It's supposed to rain all week. It's cloudy but still bright out.

I haven't heard about that proverb before, however I guess there must be one similar in my country and I am not aware of it yet. LOL As for the weather it's been sunny and breezy all day here. So far so good!

@nela13 Yes, all the year around. There are certain months of the year that it rains, but then the sun comes out and it's sunny again. However there are three states called the Andes, where the weather changes a little bit, in fact in one of them it snows but really up in the hills.
