A TV in the kitchen.

Yesterday I posted a discussion talking about the habit having watches on the wall. Today, I would like to ask about another habit that still - despite the advancement of technology - is also very popular: having a tv in the kitchen.
Do you have one?
This habit still exists here at home, basically because my mom likes to keep up with the news as she cooks.

@WiseGhots We have never had a TV in the kitchen. But our kitchen is right next to the loungeroom so I often have something on TV so I have some background noise if I am cooking or washing dishes.

We made a decision to have one TV for us when we moved! We no longer have one in the kitchen or the bedroom. We try to make TV time when we are relaxing in the living room, but otherwise we try to have good conversations.

The TV in my kitchen just shows food spinning around. Oh, wait, that's the microwave. 
I don't have a TV in my kitchen; however, I usually watch things on my very portable iPad, so if I need to be in the kitchen I can take what I'm watching with me.

I would prefer a radio in the kitchen, as having a TV would distract from say, cooking or washing..
