Finally got to wear those heels!

I've been in flat shoes since before Christmas because of an inflamed nerve in the bottom of my foot.
I had a Cortisone injection that helped a little, but the only way for it to heal is to walk in flat shoes and not wear high heels.
My husband and I went to Red Lobster in a town about an hour away last night for supper. I love to go there for my birthday (I got that injection the day before my birthday on Dec 29), so I decided we weren't going until I could dress up and wear heels.
I did wear some pretty black heels, but wore a pair that's not quite as high as some others I have. We had a good seafood meal and enjoyed the evening after that at home.
I always have a Mai Tai on my birthday or our anniversary since that's what I had on our honeymoon. (It's a fruit/mango rum drink that is so delish when it's made correctly.)
So, I finally got to enjoy my birthday dinner and a night out with my husband.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. PS We have sunshine!!!
This photo was at a steak house on my husband's birthday a year or so ago, I think!

Thanks, Margaret! It was a crazy Christmas with that woman crashing through our garage on Christmas morning.

These days I only wear heels when I'm going to be doing... mostly sitting. Hate wearing shoes anyway come to think of it. I could live in flip flops!

Sorry to hear that. I love heels, but they really can be bad for us.

What a sweet photo, it's beautiful! I've never had a Mai Tai, but Jay would know what drink this is. I'm glad you got to celebrate your Birthday, though:) And in pretty low heals, without footpain

Thanks, Kharla! It's funny because I was only 18 when we got married, so I couldn't legally have a MaiTai, but my husband arranged it somehow. I think I'll be in flats for a while, even the low heels caused just a touch of pain the next day. Oh, well.

No pain that night, but still healing, I think.

The days for wearing heels are gone forever for me. At best I can manage wedge heels.
That's a pretty photo.

Well, I got through the evening without pain, but I don't think it's completely healed, so no more heels for a while!
