Ops! Three hours without electricity.

Today there was a maintenance in the power system and this resulted in 3 hours without electricity. The problem is that it was not a planned action and all the residents were taken by surprise. We only knew it was a maintenance because one of the neighbors called to them and told us later. I hate when companies act as if they don't depend on their consumers! Have you ever experienced anything like or exactly like this?

Yes I ever experienced no electricity for 1 day and it happened 2 times because there was a substation on fire.

Here it is hardly to be power off. As today we all depend on the electricity so much, so if it is not something urgent, there will be power all the time. I can understand your feeling because you can't do anything without the electricity. If it happens in midnight, it may be better. At least at that time you already fall asleep

It's a routine here where we live. We have installed a Home UPS that takes care of our lights, computer and fans when the power is out

When the power company anticipates that we will lose power for a period of time due to a planned event, they warn us ahead of time.
